You Are Your Story Revisited

On the anniversary of the founding of my coaching practice, I’m reposting the first blog I published. It is a natural follow-up to my previous blog, Authoring Experience.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe, you want to make a change or take on a new challenge. Maybe, you feel stuck or that life is overwhelming. Whatever your story, the way you tell it makes a big difference. Your story is your identity and brand. It is who you are.

My story about becoming a coach begins on a long hike without water out of the mountains to a lake.

Where does your story begin?

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Tell it like you. Your story is what separates you from everyone else. It relates lessons learned through your challenges and joys. Embrace your journey with all its twists and turns because it is a testament to your resilience and growth.

Be clear, be confident, and don’t overthink it. Try to capture who you are now. The beauty of telling your story is that it will continue to evolve as you do.
